I’m not usually a big fan of plush dinosaurs, but this funny guy is oozing personality galore. Meet Sigikid Ankylosaurus Sweety Dinosaur. Standing 10 inches tall, he’s not ferocious at all. He’s really cuddly thanks to his soft microfiber outer fabric.

The TRex is actually my favorite, but he’s currently extinct out of stock. There’s something really funny about his big head, little arms and big feet. He kinda reminds me of an ex-boyfriend. Poor guy.
Shop Maukilo for lots of Sigikid creations. -

I’ve been to lots and lots of parenting sites. Honestly, I haven’t been very impressed. Some of them are too informational and boring, while others are way too cute and cuddly – or worse, opinionated and aloof. When I stumbled across Babble a few months ago, I was relieved and thoroughly entertained. Finally! Parents who are crazy like me.
Babble, the magazine and community for a new generation of parents, is full of clever and insightful commentary. The blogs are great. Strollerderby is the mother of all parenting blogs, FameCrawler is your daily celebrity baby fix and Droolicious offers modern design for modern parents.
I’m happy to report that I’m writing about baby products for Droolicious now. I’d love it if you’d come along for the ride. I know my readers are the best in the world, so I’m looking forward to your support. Don’t worry, MommyQ will continue to blog about all things baby here too. Here are some recent posts. Enjoy!

Maclaren recently introduced its new 4 Seasons stroller and quite frankly, I think it’s a brilliant concept. It is a complete buggy set that includes 3 reversible seat liners, footmuff, reversible blanket, rain cover and storage bag to coordinate with all four seasons. Nothing else comes close to offering all these accessories in one package.
The Fall, Spring and Summer liners are gender neutral and give parents a quick solution for boredom. Look, you have no idea how much joy a new seat liner brings unless you’re a mom. Trust me, it’s way more exciting to see a new pattern on the stroller seat than you think. Not to mention, it’s a great way to extend the life of your stroller because you won’t be wearing out one liner. Just like flipping the sofa cushions.

If you’re in the market for a stroller, this is an ideal option. It’s loaded with exceptional features and is suitable from birth to 55 lbs. It might actually be the only stroller you’ll ever need. For $425, that’s an incredible deal. Trust me and the four strollers sitting in my garage…

When it comes to yummy nursery lighting, Posh Tots takes the cake. This sweet Garden Bunny Chandelier features a white bunny holding a sculpted floral bouquet and pink rosebuds as accents. You can choose green toile shades (as pictured) and either five or three arms. This is a custom made piece, so expect 4-6 weeks for shipping. $440 (and worth every penny!)
I know some of you are debating whether or not to get a chandelier for your nursery. Here’s my two cents. I wanted one for my first baby and decided against it. I got one for my second baby and we love it. I chose one that’s somewhat age neutral, so I know we’ll keep it up for a few more years. It also serves as a mobile that even the most talented baby can’t reach.
I certainly wouldn’t spend $1,200 on one, but I’d definitely spend $440. You can always resell it after you take it down. See post in Droolicious.

“Won’t he look smart?” Absolutely! Is that before or after he purposely sits in a mud puddle, rips his pants, smears food on his jacket and feeds those candy-like buttons to his baby brother? I’m guessing before…
Nothing pleases a two-year-old boy more than an elbow-patched Marie Chantal lambswool blazer ($345) paired with a country shirt ($80) and corduroy pants ($100) that make lots of swishing noises when he walks. Oh, and the jacket is dry clean only.
Flabbergasted? Be glad I didn’t mention the $225 shoes…yikes.

Earlier this week I had lunch with a dear friend, who happens to be 20 years older than I am. She has a son who is 22-years-old. (My boys are 4-years-old and 1-year-old.) She is completely beside herself because her son wants to drop out of college with one year left to go. Her son is dating a girl that might not be right for him and he’s working as a waiter and……
My mind wandered. Holy crap! I can’t even imagine a life without diapers. How in the world will I manage as a mom of two GROWN MEN? (Heart rate increasing. Stress surging through body.) They will have to look both ways before crossing the street without me there to remind them. They will have to decipher when it’s okay to speak to a stranger and when it’s not. They will have to learn how to take care of themselves and make sure they don’t walk around reeking of BO. They will have to figure out how to date women and live with a broken heart. (Feeling dizzy. Scanning room for wine or chocolate.)
I’m not ready! Which begs the question, will I ever be ready? My stress revolves around who needs a snack, who took a nap, who needs bigger pajamas and who hasn’t pooped yet today. It’s baby stuff in a baby life.
Adult stuff in an adult life seems way too scary to handle. I’m stressed out with babies. Will I simply go insane as they get older? Should I just plan on committing myself to a padded room when they turn 17? I like to think of myself as a cool mom who freaks out when necessary, but never resorts to micro-parenting. Will I most certainly lose my cool and become that overbearing worried mom that my boys will roll their eyes at when I try to “have a moment” with them? Or beg for a hug. Wow, begging for affection. Will my world of constant little hugs, baby tooth smiles, mouse noses, and “I wuv you, mommy” come crashing down?
Never mind. I’m pretty sure I know the answer. Tell MommyQ what you think.

Every so often MommyQ discovers something funny that I must share with everyone. I received a nice comment from One Stop Boy Shop about my Helmet Heroes post, so I visited her blog. And this is where the fun begins!
In a post titled “Aha! I Caught Houdini in the Act” she shows her readers exactly how her son is getting out of his crib. It just goes to show that a little determination goes a long way. Enjoy the video! And let’s give this blog some love.
